Jean M. Twenge
My current research focuses on two different topics. First, I do experimental research on the consequences of social rejection. How do people behave when they are socially rejected? How do they express emotions? And how can the negative consequences of rejection be eliminated? Second, I research birth cohort differences in personality traits. Which personality traits have changed over time? How does the larger social environment influence people? More information on my birth cohort studies can be found at the websites for my book (Generation Me, published in April 2006), www.generationme.org or www.livejournal.com/users/genme
